It is He who sends down water from the sky of which you drink, and which nourishes the plants you feed your cattle, 10 With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought. 11 He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 And He it is Who hath constrained the sea to be of service that ye eat fresh meat from thence, and bring forth from thence ornaments which ye wear. And thou seest the ships ploughing it that ye (mankind) may seek of His bounty and that haply ye may give thanks. 14 And He hath cast on the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you, and rivers and paths that haply ye may be directed. 15 and waymarks; and by the stars they are guided. 16 Then is He who creates like one who does not create? So will you not be reminded? 17 If you tried to count God's blessings, you would never be able to number them. God is ever forgiving and most merciful. 18 Allah knows all that you conceal and all that you disclose. 19 And those whom they call on besides Allah have not created anything while they are themselves created; 20 Dead are they, not alive; and they perceive not when they will be raised up. 21
