Nothing prevented men from believing when guidance came to them, other than (what) they said: "Has God sent (only) a man as messenger?" 94 Say: 'Had there been angels walking at peace in the earth, We would have sent down an angel from heaven to them as a Messenger' 95 Say: 'God suffices as a witness between me and you; surely He is aware of and sees His servants.' 96 And he whom Allah guideth, he is led aright; while, as for him whom He sendeth astray, for them thou wilt find no protecting friends beside Him, and We shall assemble them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf; their habitation will be hell; whenever it abateth, We increase the flame for them. 97 That is their recompense, because they rejected Our signs and asked, "When we are reduced to bones and dust, shall we indeed be raised up as a new creation?" 98 ۞ Are they, then, not aware that God, who has created the heavens and the earth, has the power to create them anew in their own likeness, having, beyond any doubt, set a term for their resurrection? However, all [such] evildoers are unwilling to accept anything but blasphemy! 99 Say: "Even if you owned the stores of the mercy of my Lord, you would have held them back for fear of spending them, for man is niggardly." 100
