[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Remove the defect of my tongue 27 that they may understand my words. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 "Aaron, my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 Surely, Thou art seeing us. 35 He said: You are indeed granted your petition, O Musa 36 And assuredly We conferred a benefit on thee another time. 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 When thy sister went and said: Shall I show you one who will nurse him? and we restored thee to thy mother that her eyes might be refreshed and might not sorrow. And thou didst kill a man and We delivered thee from great distress, and tried thee with a heavy trial. And thou didst tarry years among the folk of Midian. Then camest thou (hither) by (My) providence, O Moses, 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 They came to the Pharaoh and told him that they were the Messengerss of his Lord and that they wanted him to let the Israelites go with them and stop afflicting the Israelites with torment. They told the Pharaoh, "We have brought miracles from Our Creator. Peace be with those who follow the right guidance. 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 (Firon) said: And who is your Lord, O Musa? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Musa (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord is neither unaware nor He forgets, " 52 HE IT IS who has made the earth a cradle for you, and has traced out for you ways [of livelihood] thereon, and [who] sends down waters from the sky: and by this means We bring forth various kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
