The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who humble themselves in their prayer, 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 pay their religious tax 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. 20 And most surely there is a lesson for you in the cattle: We make you to drink of what is in their bellies, and you have in them many advantages and of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
