The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 Those who desire to go beyond such limits they commit transgression, 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are carried. 22
