The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 to their promise, 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
