The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden). 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 and restrain their carnal desires 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm in a firmly established lodging; 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
