I told them, "Messengers, eat from the pure things and act righteously; I know all that you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 Yet they have split their affairs between themselves into sects, each rejoicing in what it has. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 What, do they think that We succour them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and believe in His messages 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works, and it is they who outrun [all others] in attaining to them! 61 We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- 66 waxing proud against it, talking foolish talk by night.' 67 Have they not pondered the matter, or did that come to them, which did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their Messenger and so denied him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 If truth had followed their whims and desires, heavens and earth and all that lives in them would have been brought to ruin. Rather We have brought them their Reminder. Yet they keep avoiding their Reminder. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ And even were We to show them mercy and remove whatever distress might befall them [in this life,] they would still persist in their overweening arrogance, blindly stumbling to and fro. 75 We struck them with torment, but they did not submit themselves to their Lord, nor did they make themselves humble 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
