It is He, Who has created for you (the sense of) hearing (ears), sight (eyes), and hearts (understanding). Little thanks you give. 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 It is He who revives and makes to die, and to Him belong the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not understand! 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 "When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be raised up again? 82 Indeed, this [very thing] we have been promised - we and our forefathers - long ago! This is nothing but fables of ancient times!" 83 Say: "Unto whom belongs the earth and all that lives there on? [Tell me this] if you happen to know [the answer]!" 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say, "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and of the Glorious Throne?" 86 They will surely say: God. Say thou: will ye not then fear? 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 We have brought before them the Truth, and there is no doubt that they are lying. 90 Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe! 91 He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! 92
