Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And submit, “My Lord! I seek Your refuge from the instigation of the devils.” 97 And I seek refuge with Thee, my Lord! lest they may be present with me. 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 It will be an Hour when those whose scales are heavy, they alone will attain success; 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our misfortune prevailed over us. We were indeed an erring people. 106 Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 But you took them for a laughing-stock, till they made you forget My remembrance, mocking at them. 110 On this day I have given them their reward for their exercising patience and it is they who have triumphed." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep account." 113 He will say: "You stayed there only a moment, if you knew. 114 "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 He who invokes any other god along with Allah " one for whom he has no evidence" his reckoning is with his Lord alone. Indeed, these unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
