Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
