And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 They will therefore say, "Will we get some respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
Almighty Allah's Truth.
