But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 it is the speech of a noble Messenger. 40 It is not poet's speech - little is it that ye believe! 41 nor is it the speech of a soothsayer little do you remember. 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 then We would surely have cut his life-vein 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 It is really a reminder for those who fear God and follow the straight path. 48 And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters. 49 Indeed, it is a sorrow to the unbelievers 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. 52
