And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 on those who whisper hearsay in the ears of people; and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
