Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 These are Verses of the Wise Book,- 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 And of men is he who takes instead frivolous discourse to lead astray from Allah's path without knowledge, and to take it for a mockery; these shall have an abasing chastisement. 6 When Our verses are recited to such a person, he arrogantly turns away, as though he had not heard them, or as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce to him the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 7 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens of serenity. 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error. 11
