And those who disbelieve say: "When we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we really be brought forth (again)? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: 'Journey in the land, then behold how was the end of the sinners.' 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Surely, by His Judgement, your Lord will decide between them. He is the Mighty, the Knower. 78 so put your trust in God. Surely you are on the path of manifest truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
