Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth. Then it will ascend to Him in one day, a day whose value is a thousand years by your reckoning. 5 He is the Knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 6 It is He Who created everything in the best manner and began the creation of the human being from clay. 7 Then He made his offspring from semen of worthless water (male and female sexual discharge). 8 Then He created him and (caused the angel to) breathe into him his (created) spirit. He gave you eyes and ears, and hearts, yet little do you thank. 9 And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Proclaim, “The angel of death, who is appointed over you, causes you to die and then towards your Lord you will return.” 11
