The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts. 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
