۞ [The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 [They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?" 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And some of them shall advance towards others, questioning each other. 27 They will say, "You used to come at us from the right." 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 So then, [if it be true that] we have caused you to err grievously - behold, we ourselves had been lost in grievous error!" 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 And they said: are we going to abandon our gods on account of a poet distracted? 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 Not so, however, God's true servants: 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 No headiness there shall be therein, nor shall they be therewith inebriated. 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 [that] after we have died and become mere dust and bones we shall, forsooth, be brought to judgment?"' 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He will say to his friend in hell, "By God, you almost destroyed me. 56 And had it not been for the favour of my Lord, I too had been of those haled forth (to doom). 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 then in addition to it they shall have a draught of boiling water to drink; 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 so they are rushing to follow in their footsteps. 70 Before them a multitude of people of olden times had erred, 71 though We had sent among them warners. 72 So behold what wise hath been the end of those who were warned. 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
