3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast confirmed the vision; even so We recompense the good-doers. 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be upon Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
