3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had called upon Us (earlier). See, how excellent We were in answering him! 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 he was one of Our believing worshipers. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came unto his Lord with a whole heart; 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked at the stars, looking up once, 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 He turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He said: worship ye that which ye carve. 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 When he was old enough to go about with him, he said: "O my son, I dreamt that I was sacrificing you. Consider, what you think?" He replied: "Father, do as you are commanded. If God pleases you will find me firm." 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Is-haq, a prophet, and of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
