Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
