In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Created man from a clot. 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who taught (to write) with the pen 4 Teacheth man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, surely man transgresses; 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,- 15 A lying, sinning forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
