Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
