And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 Urge with your foot; here is a cool washing-place and a drink. 42 We restored his family to him with others similar to them, as a blessing from Us and a reminder for men of wisdom. -- 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 Remember also Our servants Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- men of might they and of vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a Remembrance; and for the godfearing is a fair resort, 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks; 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This, [then, for them] so let them taste it: burning despair and ice-cold darkness 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" 61 They say, 'How is it with us, that we do not see men here that we counted among the wicked? 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
