Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 “You are neglectful of it!” 68 “What did I know of the heavenly world, when the angels had disputed.” 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Not so lblis. He grew stiffnecked and became of the infidels. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 “Until the time of the known day.” 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 He said: The truth then is and the truth do I speak: 84 I shall assuredly fill Gehenna with thee, and with whosoever of them follows thee, all together.' 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And ye will come in time to know the truth thereof. 88
