Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 had it not been revealed unto me [by God] - to no other end than that I might convey [unto you] a plain warning. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He said: "I am better than he. You created me from fire, and him from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 “And indeed My curse is upon you till the Day of Judgement.” 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 He said, "By Your Glory, I shall seduce all of them (children of Adam). 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 Said He, 'This is the truth, and the truth I say; 84 That I shall fill Hell with thee and such of them as shall follow thee, all together. 85 (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will know the truth of the matter after a while.” 88
