Hast thou not regarded those who dispute concerning the signs of God, how they are turned about? 69 Those who denied the Book and what We sent with Our Noble Messengers; so they will soon come to know. – 70 when they shall have to carry the shackles and chains [of their own making] around their necks, 71 Through boiling water, and then burnt in the Fire. 72 It will then be said to them: “Where are those whom you 73 Beside Allah? They say: They have failed us; but we used not to pray to anything before. Thus doth Allah send astray the disbelievers (in His guidance). 74 "This is so because you went about exulting wrongfully in the land," (will they be told), "and you were insolent. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 And We have already sent messengers before you. Among them are those [whose stories] We have related to you, and among them are those [whose stories] We have not related to you. And it was not for any messenger to bring a sign [or verse] except by permission of Allah. So when the command of Allah comes, it will be concluded in truth, and the falsifiers will thereupon lose [all]. 78
