Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By the manifest Book (that makes things clear, i.e. this Quran). 2 behold, We have made it an Arabic Koran; haply you will understand; 3 It is inscribed in the original Book (of Books) with Us, sublime, dispenser of (all) laws. 4 Can We ignore sending you the Quran just because you are a transgressing people? 5 How many a Prophet We sent among the ancients, 6 but whenever a prophet came to them, they mocked him, 7 So We destroyed (them)- stronger in power than these;- and (thus) has passed on the Parable of the peoples of old. 8 Yet if you were to ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will certainly say: “The All-Mighty, the All-Knowing has created them.” 9 He Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and made in it ways for you that you may go aright; 10 And who sends down rain from the sky in measured amounts, and We revive thereby a dead land - thus will you be brought forth - 11 And who created the species, all of them, and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. 12 so that you can sit upon their backs and then remember the Favors of your Lord and say: 'Exaltations to Him who has subjected these to us otherwise, we ourselves were not capable of it, 13 Hence, verily, it is unto Him that we must always turn." 14 Yet they make some of His servants partners in His divinity. Man is clearly ungrateful! 15
