Or do those in whose hearts is a disease deem that Allah will not bring to light their (secret) hates? 29 And if We will, We can show them to you so that you may recognise them by their faces; and you will surely recognise them by the way they talk; and Allah knows your deeds. 30 And verily We shall try you till We know those of you who strive hard (for the cause of Allah) and the steadfast, and till We test your record. 31 Surely those who do not believe, and obstruct others from the path of God, and oppose the Prophet after the way of guidance has been opened to them, will not hurt God in the least, and He will nullify all that they have done. 32 Believers, obey God and obey the Messenger: do not let your deeds go to waste -- 33 ۞ Verily, those who disbelieve, and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah (i.e. Islam); then die while they are disbelievers, Allah will not forgive them. 34 Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. 35 The life of this world is but play and an amusement. If you believe and are cautious, He will give you your wage, and will not ask for your possessions. 36 If He asks you for them, and presses you, you are niggardly, and He brings to light your rancour. 37 Behold! ye are those who are called to expend in the way of Allah, then there are of you some who are niggardly. And whosoever is niggardly is niggardly only to himself. And Allah is Self-Sufficient, and ye are the needy. And if ye turn away, He will substitute for you another people, and then they will not be the likes of you. 38
