Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 What, when we are dead and become dust? That is a far returning!' 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 So did they not see the sky above them – how We have made it and beautified it, and there are no cracks in it? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the cloud water abounding in good, then We cause to grow thereby gardens and the grain that is reaped, 9 and tall palmtrees with compact spathes 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
