Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and the partitioners, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They slept but a little at night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
