Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and, verily, judgment is bound to come! 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter), 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 In the earth are signs for those having sure faith; 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
