Al-Zukhruf 3 of 7

And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham said to his father and his people, "Indeed, I am disassociated from that which you worship 26 Save Him Who created me, for surely He will guide me. 27 And he made it a word enduring among his posterity; haply so they would return. 28 Yes, I gave the good things of this life to these [men] and their fathers, until the truth came to them, and a messenger expounding things clearly, 29 And when the truth came to them they said, “This is magic, and we disbelieve in it.” 30 They also said: 'Why was this Koran not sent down to a great man from the two Villages' 31 Is it they who distribute the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who have distributed their livelihood among them in the life of this world, and have raised some above others in rank that some of them may harness others to their service. Your Lord's Mercy is better than all the treasures that they hoard. 32 And were it not that mankind would be one nation, We would have appointed for those who disbelieve in the All-merciful roofs of silver to their houses, and stairs whereon to mount, 33 And for their houses - doors and couches [of silver] upon which to recline 34 And gold ornament. But all that is not but the enjoyment of worldly life. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for the righteous. 35
