Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the swift scatterers 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those that glide with ease (upon the sea) 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 and surely the Doom is about to fall! 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 perverted in his views thereon is he who would deceive himself! 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 who are dazed in perplexity 11 They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" 12 On that Day they shall be tried at the Fire, 13 (and be told): “Taste your ordeal! This is what you were seeking to hasten.” 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 and would ask for forgiveness at dawn, 18 They assigned a share of their property for the needy and the destitute. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own selves; so can you not perceive? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
