We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And We created all things in pairs, so that you may ponder. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 Do not set up another god with God. I give you a clear warning from Him. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 And warn, for warning profiteth believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I desire from them no provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. 57 for, verily, God Himself is the Provider of all sustenance, the Lord of all might, the Eternal! 58 For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! 59 Woe, then, unto those who disbelieve in their Day which they are promised. 60
