We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefore flee unto God! I am a clear warner from Him to you. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." 52 Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. 53 So turn thou from them; thou wilt not be reproached. 54 Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith. 55 I have not created jinn and mankind except to serve Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 It is God Who is the Sustainer and the Lord of invincible strength. 58 The wrong-doers shall receive a portion of the chastisements as their fellows (of yore). So let them not rush Me. 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
