The Stars (Al-Najm)
62 verses, revealed in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the star when it goes down. 1 Your companion hath not gone astray, nor hath he erred. 2 nor speaks he out of caprice. 3 It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. 4 The Lord of Mighty Power has taught him, 5 by the great mighty one (Gabriel), 6 And he is in the highest part of the horizon. 7 Then he approached and came closer, 8 until he was but two bow-lengths away, or even nearer. 9 He revealed to God's servant whatever he wanted. 10 His heart lies not of what he saw; 11 Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad SAW) about what he saw [during the Mi'raj: (Ascent of the Prophet SAW over the seven heavens)]. 12 And indeed he did see the Spectacle again. 13 By the Lote-tree beyond which none can pass, 14 Nigh unto which is the Garden of Abode. 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 The eye turned not aside nor yet was overbold. 17 He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 So have you considered al-Lat and al-'Uzza? 19 and your third idol al-Manat (whom you considered as God's daughters)? 20 What, have you males, and He females? 21 That indeed is a division unfair! 22 They are nothing but some names that you have coined, you and your forefathers Allah has not sent any proof for them; they follow only guesses and their own desires; whereas the guidance from their Lord has come to them. 23 Shall man have whatsoever he wisheth for! 24 To Allah belong both the Next World and the present. 25

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
The beginning and end of every Surah mention the Surahs sent down before and after. You can click or tap on either one to go there.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
