HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
