Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
