Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 There shall come a Day when they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire and will be told: “Now taste the flame of Hell.” 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
