Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
