The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the Event inevitable cometh to pass, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 Abasing (one party), exalting (the other), 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 You shall then become three groups. 7 Then (as to) the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam). 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 (and there) shall wait on them immortal youths 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 No after-ache will they receive therefrom, nor will they suffer intoxication: 19 And fruit that they prefer 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The like of the hidden pearls: 23 a recompense for that they laboured. 24 There hear they no vain speaking nor recrimination 25 Except the word peace, peace. 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 And banana-trees (with fruits), one above another. 29 And shade extended 30 And water poured out 31 and fruits abounding 32 Neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For the sake of the companions of the right hand. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
