The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Terror descends 1 Which is bound to happen undoubtedly -- 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 You will become three categories: 7 So those on the right – how (fortunate) are those on the right! 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 Who will be honoured 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A number of the earlier peoples, 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Round about them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness), 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of pure drink; 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 As recompense for all they had done. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 and spreading shade 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And plenty of fruits. 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches. 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virginal, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
