۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, indeed, that is a most mighty oath, if you only knew -- 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 But if he is one of those who rejected [the truth] and went astray, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 and the roasting in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
