▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That (this) is indeed a noble Qur'an 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Would you, now, look down with disdain on a tiding like this, 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 Then why is it not-- if you are not held under authority-- 86 Call back the soul, if ye are true (in the claim of independence)? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
