۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 This is indeed the noble Qur’an. 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are [helplessly] looking on 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 Thus if he is of those brought nigh, 88 Then is relief, and flowers – and Gardens of peace. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 This is the absolute Truth and certainty. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
