Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth halloweth Allah; and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 1 His is the dominion of the heavens and the earth; He giveth life and He causeth to die; and He is over everything Potent. 2 He is the First and the Last, the Outward and the Inward. He has knowledge of all things. 3 It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He knows what penetrates into the earth and what emerges from it and what descends from the heaven and what ascends therein; and He is with you wherever you are. And Allah, of what you do, is Seeing. 4 To Him belong the heavens and the earth and to Him all things return. 5 He makes the night grow longer by shortening the day, and makes the day grow longer by shortening the night; and He has full knowledge of what is in the hearts [of men]. 6 Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend (in charity) of that which He has made you successors. Whosoever of you believes and spends shall have a mighty wage. 7 How is it with you, that you believe not in God seeing that the Messenger is calling you to believe in your Lord, and He has taken compact with you, if you are believers? 8 He it is Who sendeth down unto His bondman manifest signs that He may bring you forth from darknesses into the light; and verily Allah is unto you Tender, Merciful. 9 Why do you not spend for the cause of God when to Him belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Those who spend for the cause of God and fight before victory will have higher positions than those who spend for the cause of God and fight after victory. However, to both parties God has promised good rewards. God is Well Aware of what you do. 10
