Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Inevitable Calamity! 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 What makes you to know what the Resurrection Verifier is? 3 Thamood and Ad cried lies to the Clatterer. 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as for 'Aad, they were destroyed by a screaming, violent wind 6 violent that He compelled against them seven nights and eight days, uninterruptedly, and thou mightest see the people laid prostrate in it as if they were the stumps of fallen down palm-trees. 7 Beholdest thou any of them remaining? 8 And there was Pharaoh, too, and [many of] those who lived before him, and the cities that were overthrown - [all of them] indulged in sin upon sin 9 and rebelled against their Lord's Messenger. So He took them with a stern taking. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 Hence, [bethink yourselves of the Last Hour,] when the trumpet [of judgment] shall be sounded with a single blast, 13 and the earth and the mountains shall be lifted up and crushed with a single stroke! 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that day it will be frail. 16 And the angels will be on the sides thereof, and eight will uphold the Throne of thy Lord that day, above them. 17 On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. 18 So whoever is given his book in his right hand – he will say, “Take, read my account!” 19 Indeed, I knew that I should come to my reckoning' 20 His shall be a pleasing life 21 in a lofty garden, 22 with fruits within easy reach. 23 'Eat and drink with wholesome appetite for that you did long ago, in the days gone by.' 24 And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me: 25 and that we would never knew what our records contained. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 and my authority has been destroyed' 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 Then throw him in the blazing Fire. 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 they did not believe in the great God, 33 nor were they concerned with feeding the destitute. 34 Today he has been left here friendless; 35 “Nor any food except the pus discharged from the people of hell.” 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
