The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 obeyed, and honest. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
